Key Responsibilities:
- EHS Program Management:
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of comprehensive EHS programs, ensuring alignment with corporate goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Develop strategies for integrating safety and environmental standards into daily operations, while maintaining a balance between business objectives and compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to implement EHS initiatives and foster a culture of safety across the organization.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Conduct in-depth risk assessments together with the supervisors and responsible parties to identify potential environmental, health, and safety hazards, and develop mitigation strategies to address these risks.
- Ensure that EHS risk assessments are continuously updated to reflect changing conditions, regulations, and business operations.
- Advise management, supervisors and employees on best practices to reduce risks and ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- EHS Audits and Inspections:
- Plan, execute, and document regular EHS audits and inspections to assess compliance with internal standards, local, and international regulations.
- Identify non-compliance issues or areas for improvement, and develop corrective action plans to address these gaps.
- Track audit results and provide detailed reports to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Advisory and Training:
- Provide expert advice and guidance on EHS-related issues to management, supervisors, and employees, ensuring clear communication of EHS responsibilities and compliance obligations.
- Develop and deliver training programs to promote awareness of EHS requirements, safe work practices, and emergency response procedures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all EHS-related queries, fostering strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
- EHS Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of EHS activities, audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Ensure that all EHS-related records are in compliance with legal requirements and are readily accessible for audits, regulatory reviews, and internal assessments.
- Prepare and submit required regulatory reports on time, ensuring full compliance with local national regulations.
